With over 25 years of experience, Ghazan is a distinguished barrister recognized by all major legal directories as a leader in his field. Since 2007, he has been consistently ranked as a top-tier practitioner in every edition of the Legal 500 and Chambers UK Bar. Currently serving as the Head of the Regulatory Team at St John’s Buildings (SJB) and formerly the Head of the Employment Group (2009–2014), Ghazan brings considerable expertise to complex civil and commercial disputes. His judicial experience as a Deputy District Judge, appointed in 2009, further bolsters his authoritative standing in the legal community.
Ghazan’s illustrious career is rooted in an exceptional academic foundation. Called to the Bar by the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple in 1997, he achieved near-perfect marks in his Bar School exams, securing 100% in criminal law and 90% in civil law. His early promise was marked by several prestigious honors, including the Sweet and Maxwell Law Prize for academic excellence, the Duke of Edinburgh Scholarship, and the Leonard Sainer Legal Education Scholarship. Beyond the courtroom, Ghazan has contributed significantly to legal education, serving as a Contract Law Tutor at Brunel University and an Advocacy Tutor on the Bar Vocational Course at Manchester Metropolitan University. Today, his practice maintains a global reach, as he is also accredited to accept instructions in the DIFC (Dubai).
