No Mandatory University Fees in the UK

Unlike traditional UK study routes, the SQE does not require you to:

  • Enroll in a UK university degree or conversion course
  • Pay expensive postgraduate tuition fees
  • Commit to full-time study in the UK

Global Exam Accessibility

The SQE is designed for international candidates:

  • Exams are held in approved international locations closer to Pakistan such as Dubai
  • You do not need to travel to the UK for every stage
  • Preparation can be completed fully from Pakistan

Flexible Learning and Earning Pathway

Because you are not tied to UK university study:

  • You can work while preparing
  • Gain legal experience in Pakistan

How the SQE Journey Works

FLK1 assessment covers: Business Law and Practice, Dispute Resolution, Contract Law, Tort, Legal System, and Legal Services

FLK2 assessment covers: Property Law and Practice, Land Law, Trusts Law, Wills and the Administration of Estates, Solicitors’ Accounts, Criminal Law, and Criminal Practice

Each FLK assessment contains 180 SBAQs that test your ability to apply legal knowledge to practical, client-based scenarios under timed exam conditions

You do not need a UK law degree to qualify as a solicitor through the SQE.

SQE 2 (Oral and Written)
The assessments in SQE2 oral are: - Interview and attendance note/legal analysis

-Advocacy.
SQE2 oral will take place over two half days. The following table shows the assessments candidates will undertake on each of the days. Candidates will take a total of four oral legal skills assessments. The assessments in SQE 2 written are: - Case and matter analysis
- Legal research
- Legal writing
- Legal drafting
SQE2 written takes place over three half-days. You will take a total of 12 written legal skills assessments.

Qualifying Work Experience (QWE)

QWE is designed to be flexible so that it can take place in a wide range of organisations providing legal services. It can be gained in up to four organisations, in paid or volunteer work, and could include time spent:
- on placement during a law degree
- working in a law clinic
- at a voluntary or charitable organisation or a law centre
- working as a paralegal
- on a training contract.
QWE can be gained in England or Wales or overseas, and it does not need to cover English and Welsh law. A candidate will need knowledge of this to take the SQE assessment, but they do not need to gain this specifically through their work experience.
